- Narrow Roads: If the road cannot fit two cars, sometimes one vehicle will pull over and turn its headlights off. This signals that the other vehicle can pass.

- Speed Bumps: You will find speed bumps when approaching towns or areas with lots of people.

Good to know when renting in Mexico
You must be at least 21 with a valid driver’s license held for 2 years to rent with SIXT in Mexico. A young driver surcharge applies to those under 25.
Taking your car across the northern border of Mexico into the US may be possible with prior approval. It is not allowed to take your SIXT rental across the southern border. It is also not allowed to take your car into Mexico City if you did not rent it in the federal state of Mexico.
It is generally allowed to book one-way rentals between SIXT locations in Mexico, depending on the tariff.
We accept all credit cards from internationally recognized companies like Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Debit and prepaid cards, checks and cash are not accepted.
