What to do in Dallas
For some impressive views of the city, head to the Reunion Tower, one of the Dallas’s most famous attractions that has an observation deck with views of downtown Dallas. Palo Duro Canyon State Park: See the second largest canyon in the US when you make the 6-hour drive to Palo Duro Canyon State Park near Amarillo in north Texas. Austin: Drive for around 3 hours on I-35 and you’ll reach the Texas state capital, Austin. This city is known for its music scene, diverse cultures and counterculture vibes. Toll roads in Dallas
Dallas North Tollway: This 30-mile toll road connects downtown Dallas with towns to the north. The price of the tolls depends on how many axles your vehicle has, how far you travel on it, and how you pay. You can pay via toll tag or at toll plazas.
President George Bush Turnpike: This 52-mile-long turnpike runs on various roads across the north and west of Dallas, including I-35 E, and connects with other toll roads. You can pay with toll tags or if you don’t have one, a photo will be taken of your license plate and you’ll get an invoice in the mail.
