FYI: The actual office location (and drop off) is on the south west corner of the park.
Dropped off the car here without issues, maybe because I'm Gold, or maybe because I did a very careful check for even smallest nicks and had them marked when picking up the car in Ljubljana (after reading the other reviews here). One star off for office being closed at 3:30pm - had to call the number on the door and the guy came few minutes later. Luckily, I had a working SIM card.

I rent at this location frequently. The staff is really friendly, especially Mr. Kogoj. The cars are clean and in excellent condition, most of the times just a few thousand kilometers on them.
Rental agencies in Europe are generally more rigorous about small dents and minor damages, especially compared to the US. Since the roads are narrow and parking spots small, things can happen. If you book directly with Sixt, some damage protection is already included. I use credit card protection for the rest. One may add some insurance as well to cover the rest.
Overall for me, always a good experience with Sixt in Portoroz.

We rented a car from here a couple of weeks ago. After reading the reviews,we were a little hesitant and tried Europecar first, but after 5 mins of speaking with one of their reps,we walked out of there, disgusted by the level of unprofessionalism. We then went to Sixt, and quite frankly were amazed by the bad reviews, as they couldn't have been further from the truth. We spoke with the manager, and right from the start built an instant rapport with him. He was very friendly and accommodating. Our needs were met, even exceeded, got exactly the car we wanted, it looked brand new. Everything was explained to us clearly and they even had a satnav delivered to us from another branch as one was not available in-house at the time of our booking. There were no hidden charges, and their service was exceptional,we couldnt have been happier. Regarding the 'unfriendly/rude' reviews' I guess the saying 'treat others as you wish to be treated!' applies here. Highly recommend Sixt in portoroz 5* service
