Car rental in Santa Cruz

Helena was the best! She helped us a lot and let me choose the car I wanted. She was so nice speaking spanish to us. It was just lovely having someone smile while doing such a great job!

We have rented an Opel corsa for 2 people, that was ok but don't be shy to shift down to 1st gear every time you lose your momentum when climbing. From start to finish everything was smooth and precise. Had a little chat with Rogerio during the return inspection about what makes a good or bad car for Madeira, very pleased to share opinions with a car enthusiast and get some advices. Other people were friendly too. Price may be a bit above the cheapest you can find here but at least you know what you'll get and have no surprises.

SIXT is an excellent rental car company at the Madeira airport with an amazing staff that really cares about you. I tried before a different rental company at Madeira airport and I was very disappointed, but since the first time I used SIXT, I don't want to use any other rental company, I will keep using them each time I have to travel to Madeira, Portugal. They are very professional, they will explain everything to detail, cars are impeccable, their office is very organize and clean, they also are fast in service, they really go the extra mile while taking care of the costumers, their staff is A+. The last time I got my rental car ( Feb. 04 to Feb. 19th, 2023) I was seriously impressed at the counter with Victor Olmin and Diana and at the pick up rental area with Bruno, wow! amazing people and very exceptional staff. The car was very clean from top to bottom, in and out. Thanks to Bruno's explanation, the return of the car was super easy even though the airport was doing some huge pavement work. Me and my family will keep doing business with Sixt and highly recommend them on your next car rental.
