The wet season is the winter in Nicaragua, and it runs from May to November. Since some roads may not be paved, it would be best to visit attractions within city limits, such as museums, historic sites and art galleries. The winter is also a great time to sample the local cuisine. A sedan should do well within city limits, but an SUV is best if you’ll go venturing into the wild.
